I can't think of a recipe that I have used more for a breakfast gathering than these Sausage Cheese Muffins. They are great because you can serve them fresh from the oven, room temperature or let them completely cool and freeze them for up to 3 months.
3 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 can Cheddar cheese soup
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup water
1 lb. mild sausage, browned and drained
Mix all ingredients into a large bowl and stir quickly. Spoon mixture into foil lined muffin cups. If using standard size muffin cups bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. If using smaller muffin cups bake at 375 for 13-15 minutes.
*Use the foil lined muffin cups since they allow you to cook everything at once on a large baking sheet.
