I found this recipe in an old cookbook of my mom's. We had this for dinner tonight and boy was it a hit!!! I was going to take a picture, but we pretty much devoured it before I could. It's truly a crowd pleaser!
1.5 lbs. ground beef
1 jar spaghetti sauce
12 oz. small egg noodles
1 (3oz.) brick cream cheese, softened (reduced fat okay)
1 cup sour cream (reduced fat okay)
16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated (part skim okay)
Brown beef; drain off fat. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer for 20 minutes. Cook noodles; drain. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream and mix well. Spread half the noodles in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover with half the cream cheese mixture; top with half the grated cheese. Spread the remaining meat sauce over cheese. Layer remaining noodles, cream cheese mixture and grated cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
