Holiday Desserts


Peanut Butter Balls (1st in picture on the left)

1 stick of butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 package baking chocolate bark

Mix together first 3 ingredients. Roll into bite size balls. Refrigerate 2 hours. Using a double boiler melt chocolate. Dip balls into chocolate and let sit on a wire rack for about an hour before refrigerating.

*I can't remember a Christmas without these. I really hope you enjoy them!

Christmas Holly Cookies (2nd in picture from the left)

1 stick butter
35 large marshmallows
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp green food coloring
4 1/2 cups cornflakes
cinnamon red hot candies

Melt butter then add marshmallows in a large pot over LOW heat. Add vanilla and food coloring once mixture is melted. Add cornflakes. Mix thorougly. Drop by the spoonful onto wax paper that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Add 3 red hots to eat top while hot! Let stand for at least 2-3 hours before putting them into a sealed container.

*Like Peanut Butter Balls we have had these each and every year. It's just not Christmas without them!

Peanut Butter Bars (2nd in picture from the right)

1 stick butter, softened
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 cups smooth peanut butter
1 bag milk chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients minus the chips with electric beater. Spread onto baking sheet. Cover with wax paper and smooth out using a rolling pin. Melt chocolate over a double boiler. Spread over peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate for 2 hours then cut into bars.
