Homemade Donuts

I can't recall where I got this recipe from, but I've been making these for several years now. They are incredible easy and won't last long!!!

vegetable oil for frying
1 package of 10-count buttermilk biscuits (one single package of the store brand 4-pack)
2 cups powdered sugar
small brown paper bag

Heat up oil to medium/high heat. While oil is heating remove biscuits from their package and put your finger through the middle of each one to make a donut hole. Set aside. Put powdered sugar into a brown paper bag. Put 2-4 biscuits into oil. After about 30 seconds flip them. Once golden brown remove from pot and place in paper bag. Close bag and shake. Put donuts on a plate. Repeat until all donuts are prepared. Serve warm.

*You could make a chocolate syrup to drizzle over these if you feel like it. Either way they are yummy!

My girls loved to make these on special days when they were young. We used a biscuit hole cutter and fried the doughnuts and holes. Yum, we used cinnamon sugar on some. So good.
