I Heart My BFF

Earlier this evening we celebrated my birthday with my BFF, Kelly, her husband Jeff and Kelly's parents, Mr. & Mrs. T.  We had a great time! We laughed..learned a few things about Mr. & Mrs. T that I was not aware of and ate way too much!!!

Mr. & Mrs. T bought me the cutest tray with places for photos on the inside of it as well as a new tropical-inspired Clinique bag.  Mrs. T works for Clinique so I ALWAYS get the hook up on make up and cute bags!!!

Kelly's gift was a shocker! In the gift bag from her was this ADORABLE-totally me-bright pink basket with my initials monogrammed on the front.  If you know me then you know I LOVE the color pink and I LOVE monograms.  I actually had to keep myself from squealing with delight in the restaurant.  I can't wait to use it!

It was a great birthday despite the heat from our a/c going out! I've got at least two more celebrations this weekend.  The hubs and I are going on a romantic picnic on Saturday and Sunday we're celebrating with a pool party at a friend's house.  My peeps totally rock!

Lady Bug Measuring Spoons

The birthday celebrations kicked off today.  We celebrated with my parents.  We went out to lunch together to Spaghetti Warehouse and enjoyed a fantastic meal.  My parents gave me some cute gifts, but these lady bug measuring spoons are by far my favorite.  I've loved lady bug items for years so when I saw these spoons at Pier 1 a few weeks ago I called my mom and told her all about them! Aren't they the cutest?!?

Kicking Off the Birthday In Style

Yesterday I got my first birthday package in the mail...proof that 31 is really around the corner! This package was from my in-laws...they are always very generous.  How stinkin' cute is that polka dot monogrammed bag...could anything scream Tara more?!? I also got two home fragrances, a candle, 3 books (desperate need of reading material right now so these couldn't have come at a better time!) and a gift card so the hubs and I can go to The Cheesecake Factory at least twice for take-out in the near future!

The candle was wrapped up with a cute bow around it and we couldn't resist putting it on Sophie (it wouldn't fit around Piper's neck!!!).  You can see how she's tucking her ears that she was not a very big fan of the bow, but she still looks cute!
